Wynter is my little runner. Whenever she gets hurt or injured she does not cry or run to any one for sympathy. She just runs and hides.
Today she was wrestling around with her brother and hit her head on the door. I saw it happen so I went to pick her up to make sure that she did not have a bad bump. She looked at me and ran. I followed her into her room and she just hid under a pillow, peeking out the corner. I really don't like this behavior. The harder I try to be extra sympathetic the more she will run and hide and even get angry if pursued. I think she does this out of embarrassment. She ended up being okay.
She has gotten better over the years. I have been working with her on this and talking to her about it now that she is old enough to comprehend our conversations. Some day we will look back and laugh at this little quirk of hers. I will never forget Wynter's running days.

That is so funny and endearing too. I know that if I was the Mama I would become frustrated as well, but from an outsider looking in its got its definite humor! You are right, you both will laugh when you talk about it later on down the road.
Makes me think of my son Trent. He likes to lick his wounds alone. When he is sick he doesn't want to be talked to or anything, just leave him alone and let him sleep. If he gets hurt he just falls asleep, I guess it is his healing method. Does make it frustrating for us moms though!
She cracks me up when she starts running. I so don't think I would know how to deal with it either. But you do wonderful with her. Hope September is about over the pox's.
I agree with Trina, as an outsider, it is very funny and sweet too. You will laugh about it later.
India use to run for cover, from all helicopters and planes, for at least a year of her life. However, we both laugh about it together, now. She thought the helicopter was a large spider in the sky. No conversations could convince her differently.
